When I aquire uncirculated coins in their original wrappers should I leave them in the original wrapper or can I take them out to examine them and then place them in a different container? Does this hurt the value of the coins?

Welcome to the CCF. This will not hurt the value as long as you properly handle your coins. Hold them at the edges and place them in the container gently. That's all. I like the clear coin tubes personally. Keep in mind, the coins over time may tone as these containers are not completely airtight.

Welcome to the family, I would ask why would you remove the coins to examine them, when you could see the coins through the original wrappers, Mike...

Personally, I would not remove the wrappers, but just my preference.
