According to Coin World News Yellowstone National Park Quarter Ceremony June 3rd in the park at Old Faithful. There will also be someone there to postal cancel your rolls with either the regular postal cancel or a pictorial postal stamp featuring Of Faithful and a bison WOW sure wish I could make this one. Will also say dedication Station referencing 1st day of issue. Been lucky enough to have been to Yellowstone twice now and it is still the best National Park in the USA in my book. You can spend 10 days touring this park easily the last time we were there in 2007 we spend 16 days. I sure would attend this one if it were not 1800 miles from me. If you are lucky enough to go will trade one of my Hot Springs Ceremony rolls with you. Oh yes to get your rolls post canceled you must have a 1st class stamp on them so take 30 stamps or so with you will save you from standing in one line anyway. Edited by Brucec 05/11/2010 07:29 am

Yellowstone is my favorite one too. But I decided that I wasn't going to collect the rolls so.....face value would be nice though....then I might change my mind.... I may order this P&D from the Mint, just because it is one of my favorite places to visit, but I'm not going to try to collect a "roll set" of the entire Parks series. I didn't quite succeed in that with the State Qtrs......but got close to having a "D" mint of each. I'll just collect enough P's & D's for some albums and roll search for any extra BU's I can get and be happy with that. I expect I'll have to trade for all of the P's though.....by the time I'll see any of those around here, they'll be in sad shape.... I noticed that Kansas (where I live) is like next to last on these Parks series....SO I HAVE TO WAIT LIKE 11 YEARS TO "STAND IN LINE" AT THAT EVENT ! ..... For those going to Yellowstone though......I AM jealous !

Yes I love Yellowstone was not going to get any rolls from the mint but maybe also will get these as I love Yellowstone NP. I keep asking my bank if they will get the rolls they say yes but still have no Hot Springs I remember from the State Quarters it took them about a month from the release date before they got them some times 6 weeks after. I will be surprised if they get these because they stopped getting th State Quarters in 2008. I hope to attend the Gettysburg one next year hope they have it when I am home as I only live about 30 minutes from there but I bet that will be crowded as there seem to be allot of coin collectors around here.

Specksnyder, Hot Springs was first because the mint is issuing these in the order that the site on the coin was established as a national site.

Yellowstone was the first National Park in the world. Quote: Eaglefoot - you know you're going to collect these........you should go. (get a roll for me.) LOL Yes ! I "will" collect them......just not the "rolls" ! .... Yellowstone is quite a jog from Northeast Kansas (over one thousand miles ) ! .... And I'll certainly collect any BU's I come across while roll searching and make some coin tubes of them for preservation and future albums.

Been reading these posts, and never thought about this before. Been collecting the quarters (mostly) from circulation since they started. I have a couple sets of P and D. Just plan on picking up a few of each to keep it going. Never considered collecting rolls. However, Brucec got me thinking. I live about three hours from Gettysburg, and go out every summer (I love the history, wife loves the ghosts). I am now making plans to be there for that release. It will also be the only silver I buy from that series.

The Gettysburg date will not be released till 2011 on ? If you know when that date is please let me know hope it is the summer months when I am usually in PA.
There will also be quite allot of the parks ceremonies on the east coast in different years.

I am now keeping an eye out for the release date, but I'm sure we'll hear it here. I usually plan my trips for the week after July 4Th, but I may need to alter those plans or make a second trip out there.

Well have been lucky enough to have gotten to about three fourths of the National Parks in 2007 We visited Big Bend, Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon. Red WOOD, Painted Dessert, Purified Forest, Mace Vesta, AND ABOUT FIVE OTHERS. Was a 12,000 mile trip all together that year just love those kind of trips never a dull moment.
I was kind of disappointed with Yosemite guess it was from hearing so much about it all through the years do not get me wrong it is a must see Yosemite Valley is just beautiful epically the over look looking out over it all WOW.
But my favorite is still Yellowstone NP been there twice hope to get back again.
If you can see any of our National Parks go for it. Also some of the national monuments are very special also been to quite a few of them also.
Hope to take another big trip maybe in two more years have to save the $$$$
That last big trip we did not make Alaska as that was when Diesel fuel gas was up to $ 6.00 per gallon we did get up to the Columbia river gorge, and Washington State and Whistler BC where they held the 2010 Olympics I did get Olympic coin set there then. Went to Hells Gate BC and we had to turn around there as my body was hurting and so was the pocket book. Guess we could have made Alaska but I was starting to have allot of physical issues so gave up. My brother and wife were along in there RV also they kept going up to Alaska sure hurt not being able to keep gong with them.
