...as Gem Uncirculated on their slab instead of a grade? What does that mean?

I read this on another forum, "When a dealer submits coins the dealer can request that all coins that don't meet
the MS66 grade or above get slabbed in Gem Unc holders. Often times a Gem
Unc holder will sell for more than the graded holder. Amy said she will register
your coin as MS65. Yes you would need to get it regraded to get the MS65 put
onto the label."

Adding to that...I think the dealer submitted them in bulk (maybe in the green monster boxes). The per-coin submission cost is greatly discounted.

I wonder do they have three graders look through that?

Thanks - hadn't really noticed it before - thought maybe it was a problem coin. But, I see now.

I see some one has addressed the "3-graders" statement, I really believe there is not much room for a level playing field, meaning, I highly doubt 3 graders looked at all the coins that went through that PC** company.

I believe they have made a very nice, comfortable living for them selves in their slabbing business, even if your name were Eliasberg, or DR Norweb, or Jack Lee, it is not always who you know in life that gets things done, most times it is who you know.

Point to think about, if you, or I sent in a Morgan silver dollar to be slabbed and any one of the above sent one in also, who do you think would receive a higher grade, similar coin, different person, Think about it, it ALL comes down to Money.

Any slabbing company would love to get the chance to slab one of the previously mentioned people's coin, and probably do so for free to have their name associated with that "person", just for the bragging rights and the prestige that comes with it, now do you really feel if you or I did the same, they would give any "extra", or same treatment to us? LOL. Just my opinion, plus my experience in researching the TPG'S!!!
