A very attractive dollar in my opinion. I have bought several coins from that seller in the past and have always been very happy. They have a great selection of really high end coins. Edited to add: No, I am not affiliated with that seller.  Edited by cwb1877

That coin is perfect proof of why we say a nice AU trumps a lower Mint State coin in eye appeal.

Once upon a time when I had more discretionary income, I owned a few Seated dollars in the VF to AU range. It's a very challenging series, and you found a nice one. |

Very nice. I've bought several coins from that seller, TNFC, and have been pleased with all of them. I have viewed that coin many many times, and have always liked it. If I was willing to spend that much on a Seated dollar, I would have purchased it. Congratulations! And please let us know what it looks like in hand! |

Yeah Johnny, that was basically the idea here. I think their prices are quite high in general, and this coin may be worth "on paper" $950 or something due to being in an ANACS slab instead of PCGS, but putting that aside I think its much nicer than others plus I don't really care about the slab when I'm buying for type. I'm surprised it stayed up so long though, haven't seen one for that price quite as nice in awhile.
