Posted in Australian thread because this is about an Australian PNC

I tried to purchase an Australian PNC as I have done in the past.
I got a note on ebay telling me I was blocked from purchasing.
Never had that happen.

I am interested in this PNC is anyone knows anything about it.

Does anyone know this seller from ebay
the_pnc_place
they have some PNCs listed but when I try to bid on them I am blocked from doing so
I have contacted them with no response.
I contacted ebay and they tell me there are buyer requirements, but only the seller know what the requirements are

Item in question
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...B:SS:US:1123

I know it is not an official PNC but I liked the look.

Let's keep the discussion to the PNC and not to the ridiculous ebay policies

At what stage did you get block?
I tried and it told me to confirm my bid, but since I don't really want to commit to the item. I stopped there, did you get that far?

I've just sent the seller this message:

Hi, I have friend in the USA who wants to bid on this PNC, but when he tries, he gets a message advising that he is 'blocked'. He is actually an Aussie living in the states and your auction does say that you post worldwide. Can you fix it so that he can bid? Will you need his ebay Logon ID? Thanks.

I'll let you know if / when I receive a response.

Thanks Nancy
If you check your moderations you will see the seller is a person of non interest.
I will probably not bid if allowed

Good idea Richard. I wouldn't be supporting this person if I were you.

My wife, Jenny, buys china items and often from UK. She has a UK forwarding address but is sometimes blocked from bidding where seller has marked will not post overseas. She has also been blocked from completing checkout other times because has Australian ebay ID, even though she has UK address as one of the delivery options.
And, sometimes invoice comes up with Australian postage and seller cannot change it to UK postage.

There doesn't seem any consistency in what happens (or doesn't happen).

Solution to this problem for a regular buyer from ebay in another country is to register a separate ebay ID in the country of interest. Now Jenny has an ebay UK account; no problems. We have also setup up a separate Firefox profile for this account so we can have ebay Australia and ebay UK each open in its own window.
