I would have prefered, "Obverse struck thru debris"

Man, they smacked you about mercilessly with that grade.

I thought that mint made imperfections were not supposed to affect grade, just the value. I read this in Scott Travers' The Coin Collector's Survival Manual. From the pictures I can't see anything else that would keep it from 62-63.

I don't believe a mint error affects the overall grade. Otherwise, a struck thru cloth dime I have should have been AG3! PCGS gave it a 62. I know Super!

I forget, does ANACS not put "Mint Error" on the holder?

real slap!! very nice coin, at least MS63/4 I am guessing since the debris is IN YOU FACE they dropped it do to eye appeal, even if the error is not supposed to effect the grade...
