can you post pictures of the full coin?

there are many people here that know a great deal about Lincoln errors, and I'm betting with full pics, they will be able to more easily answer your questions

A padded vise is more effective than a hammer. Rotate a bit between squeezes, and I think you'll have it.

They are doubled when you rotate and re-squeeze...comes back from the other coin.

( edit )
I haven't tried to do this, but am pretty certain it was done in a vise. 100% certain it did not come from the mint like this.

definitely cause by pressing other coins into it. And I bet your penny is flatter and has a slightly larger diameter than a normal penny - from being squeezed.

The last picture clearly shows a damaged and flattened cent

Put a 1970 and 1967 coin face-to-face. Squeeze in vise. The 1970 will transfer onto the 1967 as an incuse device (it will also be reversed, over by the liberty). Now put the coins back together, and rotate the coins slightly to each other. Squeeze again. The 1970 from the 1967 coin can now transfer a raised date back to the original 1970 coin. You will also get another (incuse) "LIBERTY" from the 1967 coin onto the 1970 coin.
