Inspired by Badthad method and noticing friction lines from the Dansco slides, I decided to move my entire Lincoln collection to Airtites. I got 500 in the mail today. Whew, that was hard work!
They come in boxes of 250 with a row of 50 tops then a row of 50 bottoms and so on. Then the black rings come in a separate box. They come unseparated and just look like a black circle with the ring perforated. So I had to separate the rings from the main body, separate tops from bottoms, remove Lincolns from dansco, then put them in the Airtite. Tomorrow I am going to my local shop to pick up 2x2 sheets and start stapling the Airtites into 2x2's. My hands feel like they are gonna fall off!

I think it's amazing you got this done so fast. I know what you mean but I think you'll really like the way your set of Lincolns look now.

Did you rinse each one in acetone and distilled water first? How about a high quality photo of each one while you were at it.

Not at the moment, just the Lincolns for now. I don't think I could handle all of them at the same time.

I sure did.

I didn't get individual pics as I was doing it. That would have probably tacked on a lot more time. I will get some pics once I get the project completed.

I have always liked BadThad's method. I would probably use it if my collection had higher-end coins.

Job well done! I am sure photos will come when you have completed the conversion.

I would like to know of a good way do house capsules in albums , the air tite albums with 9 per page is way to bulky for 1000 plus piece collections. The albums and capsules would be worth as much as the collection.
