I bought a bunch of stuff from a flee market for $15.
Not sure were this should be posted.

Questions:
1)Any info on the NASA medals. (original, copy, etc...)
2)Anything special about the $5 Canadian bill (payed $3 for it)?
3)Should the Mercury dime be soaked in acetone?, other form of cleaning if any?
4)Any other comments?

Thanks

I think you did OK, I would try and give the one Merc a soak and see what happens. It looks like it may have been dug, but hey it is still silver. As of the Canadian $5 I would say that was a good deal. Even if it is nothing special and is worth only face it is still worth around $4.85 U.S. I think.

For the Canadian $5 , look for a date in the middle near the bottom, it may 1979, look at the 2 signatures , one on each side of the date. Once you have this you can look up the value.

Thanks, But after reviewing these, The most interesting items seem to be the NASA medals. After googling them I found this.
http://www.nasm.si.edu/collections/...A19731507000

And hence would like to know a little more, like (original, copy, silver. pewter, etc) I guess I probably should start a separate thread for them?

Do not mess with the Mercury dimes unless you really know what you have. Acetone dip is OK but remember to rinse with distilled water.
Many error coins are possible with Mercury dimes so make sure you know what you have. For example there are more and more large and small mint marks becoming found. Watch for the 42D/41 since it is difficult to see. Oddly enough the Mercury dime is rather noted for rotated reverses and some are as much as 90 degrees or more and those are on the expensive side.
