Just sittin' here watching The History Channel and thought I'd display the latest note I won on ebay. Paid $15 shipped for it. Appears to be CU. Very crisp paper, bright colors. Couple of rough corners. That gives me the '28, '28A, '28B, and '28C.

Enjoy

Steve

Nice note! I'd be glad if I had any small-portrait five dollar bill...

Thanks cs83. I was happy with that one. Not only because it added to my series run of this note, but I got it for a good price. Just one of those that not a lot of people paid attention to. That's good for me! I do like to add to the series runs of each year note I collect. For example, a while back I was keyed on '35 and '57 $1 silver cert's. I took a little work, but I completed the '35 set in CU from '35 thru '35 H (including no motto and with motto) and '57 thru '57 B, including a '57 star note.

There are tons of them out there, from all various years. You can still find decent ones in circulation too. Although I'm not seriously trying to capture one from each printing year, I snatch them up when I can if I find a good deal. It can get a little pricey after a while though when you're doing $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 sets!

Good luck with your search,

Steve
