Nice! It sure looks like it - I'll check Rick Snow's book when I get home around midnight and get back to you with the Snow number (if he describes it).

There's doubling on that second 8. I'm not sure what Snow # it is. Who knows it may not even have a Snow# yet. You can send it to Rick and for $4 plus shipping he'll check it out for you. Go to indiancent.com for the information on sending it to him.

I just checked the variety page at the FLY-IN CLUB and it could be a Snow 1 or Snow 7. Both of those varieties are described as having doubling on both of the eights so I'm not positive as to the exact variety.

Yeah it may be a hit. I don't know IHC's very well. That's why I posted it. Maybe there is a match in Snows book. We will see.

I just checked all the pictures in Rick Snow's book for the 1882, and yours is not depicted. I do agree with the post mint damage that's been suggested in the few recent posts. sorry!

There are 2 different pics posted, one an 1899, the other an 1882. The 1899 looks like it's been hit and the 1882 has doubling on the 2nd 8. That doesn't look like post mint damage on the 1882. JMO

I am not sure what happened there. I am inquiring about the 1882 and the second 8. I have deleted the 1890 pic that was posted in error.

A close up of the date would help.
However, I believe it took a hit, also.
The S-1 has the first, and second "8's"south. 88/88s.
The S-7, is 88/88s
Yours if not a hit, would be 8/8w.
I just checked it with Zoom-Tech, and it IS a hit. sorry!
Dick

Appears that is the verdict. If it doesn't show up in Snows book then it must be a hit. Thanks everyone for looking.
