My grandmother is quite a collector. Through the years she saved a tub of 1970-S cents she got in change. She knew there was a large date and small date, but couldn't tell the difference so she just threw all 1970-S cents into this tub. I offered to search the tub for her.
By weight, I estimate this tub contains about 650 (13 rolls) 1970-S cents. I searched the entire tub.
The number of 1970-S small dates I found......not a
single one! Every single one of them were clearly large dates!

There were quite a few MS coins in there. I saved the best of them, though I don't think any would grade above about 64RD.
I did find a couple of interesting ones though...
Here is a 1970-D (OK so not
all of them were 70-S

). I'm not sure what's going on at the rim (lamination issue?). It definitely has extra metal there. It also looks like it has lamination issues at the N of IN, just under GOD, and the W of WE. In addition to that, it looks like IN GOD was
Struck Through Grease or something.

I also found a 70-S large date with some doubling at the date and mintmark. What kind of doubling is it? Anything worth saving?
