pattiewhack Pillar of the Community Canada 1152 Posts	Posted 05/25/2010 3:10 pm I was shown a bunch of family heirloom coins yesterday, and was very surprised to find GOLD where I usually find mountains of 1967 Confederation pennies! These are some of the best of the bunch, I suspect the 1787 Guinea might have been used in colonial Canada (the family has been in Canada for centuries) and the 1894 1/2 Pond was brought back by a relative who fought in the Boer War (and brings a pretty penny at auction, too- especially in this condition!) Blacksmith's Token? Ceylon? What do y'all think? Report this Post to the Staff
