I received a large group of Porcelain coins from Germany for identification and pricing. I have completed the task with one exception.

The coin is 42 mm in diameter and is essentially as made with the exception of two chips. Can anyone identify this and estimate its value?

I believe this is more a medal than a coin.
It is about a poem from Ludwig Uhland called "Der Überfall I'm Wildbad"
The text on the revers saying
"Ein angeschoßner Eber, der sich die Wunde wusch,
Verriet voreinst den Jägern den Quell in Kluft und Busch,"
is an excerpt of the poem and is showing the boar (Eber) that cleaned its wound and showed the source (Quelle) to the hunters (Jäger)

maudry That is great information. I did locate a web site that had several "Table Medals" - all were this size. I wonder if it could be one of those? Some had literary themes, but there did not seem to be a catalog of types. The typical Table medal sold for $150-200.
