Now I don't know if this qualifies as origami. Fish are a lucky sign in Thailand so my wife has this hanging on her Buddha altar. It's made of five 10 baht notes and the body is padded.
The fish was bought by my wife's mother at a Buddhist temple. She doesn't remember whcih one (she visits a lot of them) and can't remember how much she paid. I've not seen another at a temple or in any of the numerous shops here that sell religious/lucky knick-knacks. Sorry.
Vic, thanks for looking into it. In your profile I saw your location and was reminded of an old song from the former Ceylon in Tamil called "Suranganni". You can find it on you tube.
