Got this one on ebay a few days ago. The pics left a lot to be desired, but the reverse pic showed promise of original luster. Got it for low AU brown money.

This is what showed up in the mail...

Opinions on grade?

low AU...dang !

That coin's bettern AU.

I dont know what the "hue" is on Abe's temple, sideburns, beard...rub? lighting?

If it's lighting, Id say that coin is MS62/63...not going higher because I also dont know about the condition of the reverse rim between 10 and 2 o'clock...if it's just the photo, and the rim is consistent 360 degrees...it could be a higher MS

very very very beautiful and nice.

You gotta love it when you gamble the sellers poor pics hide the true quality of the coin and you reap the benefits.

Looks MS to me as well and if thats the case it looks to easily be MS63

That's for sure...though I've certainly ended up with the short end of the stick a few times too!

j_h_s,

It's definitely not RD (that would have been amazing!)

It's a solid RB color and needless to say, I'm thrilled!

If you send it in I'm thinking it'll come back AU-58, but I'm with everyone else on 64 RB.

I think I see what razorear sees on the cheek. MS-64 RB if that is not wear, otherwise, AU-58. This is one of those coins that just kill a low MS if it is AU. I have thought seriously about starting a collection of AU-58 Lincolns.

Find yourself a 1916 in MS grade. The new master dies were improved to show great beard detail.
