Two more coins from my childhood pile ....

I may be way wrong on these ..... but here goes and hoping you experts set me straight .....

First coin is a war-time 1941 French Indochina cent ..... believe it is zinc based on the corrosion ..... I call it KM-24.3

No idea on the mintage or relative scarcity or history .... found somewhere on the web that stated mint was in Hanoi?

Second coin I am calling KM-12.1 ...... Paris mint (I read the 'A' mint mark is the clue here) .....

Alas the date is partially worn away .... My research shows this coin was minted from 1908 thru 1939 with only the 1920 and 1930 as years ending in 'zero'...... in hand it could be either 1920 or 1930.

No clue on the mintage or alloy of this coin .... looks and feels like a Cu-Ni alloy but not sure.

I would appreciate any input about either of these coins so I can expand my learnings of their history and place in our shared passion.

You will not hurt my feelings by stating I have it all wrong ..... I know nothing about world coins.

You are right about KM 24.3, variety of rosette with 11 petals, composition zinc. This is a Vichy Government (Nazi Germany puppet) issue, Krause catalog does not list the mintage figures for this type. From the absence of the mintmark your assumption about the Hanoi mint sounds good.

The second one, KM 12.1 is made of bronze. In 1920 they minted over 18 mil. pieces, in 1930 - 4.68 mil.

Here's some background on French Indo-China.
