Also, take a look in the "What you get" Section.

While this is a total rip off like everything else they sell, I would still rather have this than their gold and platinum plated State Quarter type deals.

The New Orleans Mint closed years before 1921. So where are they getting that information from? They have to other listings for MS-64 O-Mint Dollars, so maybe the guys at HSN made a mistake... unless it was NOLA.

The link went to a P mint 1921 Morgan, but the price is laughable.

It is laughable. I'm going to watch it tomorrow morning and see what they say.

The title of the link says a P-Mint dollar, but in the lower right corner of the first page is a section that says "What You Get" and it says a 1921 O-Mint Morgan dollar and a Metal box.

It says "P" or "Philadelphia" in multiple places in that ad while only mentioning "O" once. So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they just made a typo.

Your thread title is redundant, SilverTurtle. "Unnecessary price" and "HSN" are synonyms.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, the O is next to the P on the keyboard. But even so, that is a ridiculous price.

I agree. The Gold Coins they sell on there are sold at 2 Times Normal Value. The Goldmine Quarter Sets are not worth buying. The only thing I've seen worth buying are the Lincoln Cent Blowouts where they have BU Wheat cents, though I bet most of those are 40's and 50's. But at least you get a 1909 VDB.

I know how you feel. Coin TV Shows should have fair prices and not prices that are 2 to 10 times Retail.

Yeah plus there is no such thing as a 1921-O Morgan dollar. The Price is farfetched for that common date.

But if they do have an O dollar in an TPG capsule, I'll gladly buy it for $99!
