Just wanted to check on these the D seems really close to the 1969 and the 1979 looks like a filled D ? What are your thoughts ?
Thanks ,

The placement of the mint mark can vary a lot because it is placed by hand on the die until 1990. The 1979-D looks a little filled but I have seen them sooo filled that they look like a blob. Neither of your coins have a premium and are quite common, but keep lookin'.

The 1979D is normal. The mintmark is often 'filled' because they used a broken punch to place the mintmark onto the dies.

Judging by the surface condition, the D could simply be damaged.
