Kennedy 1989 Half Dollar With Elizabeth II On Reverse

buysjd New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 06/05/2010 10:15 pm I have a couple pictures, I suspect it is two coins fused together, but is barely thicker than either an Elizabeth II Del Gratia Regina F.D. Penny, or a Kennedy half dollar. It looks as if there is a line on the side of the coin where the two may be joined.... Report this Post to the Staff

The Kennedy was hollowed out and once you placed the Elizabeth coin underneath it would "magically" disappear. The thing is on the opposite side of the Elizabeth is the missing part of the Kennedy. It had a special ring that you sit the coin on to tap the false coin out. I'm pretty sure that's what you have. They just put the Kennedy insert backwards.
