I actually bought 3 of them from the guy on ebay for 20 bucks a peice, I bought one for each daughter and one for me. All three are in my grandfathers safe so they wouldn't get mixed up with regular change around here and get spent by mistake

These is actually a variety it appears. Errors are usually non-repeatable flaws in the minting process. Varieties are characteristics which distinguish one die from another. In this case it's unintentional variety and was caused by the hub tilting in between impressions.
Intentional varieties are often called types.

cladking you are correct this is a variety and if you look at the first topic I started about this "variety" you will see the same argumant beaing talked about in it. I just called it an "ERROR" because that is what the guy on ebay called it when he had them up for auction

Certain people seem to get a little defensive when corrected around here. I am not sure if this is the place I want to be. I am becoming more discouraged about forums and posting on them. I came here to have people to talk to about coins but it seems that there is more butting of heads about who is right than anything else. I have enough discouraging things in my life and I don't want my coin collecting to be the same. I will have to rethink this and other forums and maybe just stay away for a bit.

I didn't see anyone but heads in this topic, I was agreeing with cladking and just explaining why I had the word "ERROR" in the topic which is because the ebay seller had it as his description of the coin. There was definately no butting heads going on here and not sure what you are refering to

I checked into ebay to see what was available and I DO think someone is trying to sell "extra tree" varieties that are NOT the extra tree variety. It is either that or I am way off base in my understanding of this particular error?

mine looks like this one, not sure what the one you are talking about looks like but this is how the ones I have look http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemEdited to add I just checked ebay and the pictures they are showing does not have this extra tree on them. They may be using a stock photo but the one in the picture is a regular design

These will probably turn out to be much more common than the WI up and down leafs. Typically dies strike around a quarter million coins and they'll be released in as many as about 5 different places. These have turned up in Kentucky and Ohio so far. Since it's so long after most of these coins have been released it is likely that most are getting well circulated. It will take a few years to find them all in circulation.

I agree, it took someone who had alot of time on their hands to actually notice there was a extra tree in that field. I would have never noticed it myself because I just dont look closely enough I dont guess
Edited to correct spelling
