Krause show small/large animals. but They all look the same to me, so I cant tell which one I have (I assume the common)
But I did find some differences, Have 4 of those in total, 2 have "Filled R".

I looked an Haffner book from 1970, she doesn't seem to mention the animals, just Berne & Tel Aviv mints.
Also that there several varieties discovered, with a request to report others when discovered (that was 40 yrs ago I just dont have any new books ;)

Can somebody clue me in?

Sorry leprecoin don't have any samples on hand to compare.
I would assume, going by the difference in values, that the other years have the large animals?
Perhaps you have other years of the 1/2 and or 1 lira to compare with the 1963s.

I have no idea Vic, or any others to compare with, just this quad, and krause don't illustrate it

I think yours is the small animal variety, thin sans-like neck...maybe. I can't really tell. Here's what I found:
