Hello family forum members.... I was flipping through my 2007 Hard Cover Red Book and found a post card for a free gift. This was found between pages 384 & 385. This is for the Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Red Book. The gift offered is a custom snaplock with 2 Uncirculated Lewis & Clark nickels. No postage necessary to boot..... Has anyone sent in for it? Tim Edited by Tpatna 07/14/2006 09:22 am

Hmm. In the softcover one you could send in for a Westward Journey nickle folder which I sent in for and filled it up and its pretty cool. Maybe the more expensive book you get the more expensive gift.

I've sent in for the two free nickels in a snap-lock case. I got it a couple of weeks ago, and it's basically nothing special, but at least I got 10 cents and a free case to boot!

39 cent stamp for 10 cents and a case I'd say its a break even situation so I would go for it.

Postcard was No Postage Necessary. I know it was no big deal. I was just surprised when I found it, and thought I would share.

There's also an offer for 2 free first strike silver eagles graded by NGC as long as you pay a few bucks for shipping.

Page 4 for anyone interested. It's a sales gimmick but they don't really hard sell you. The people are nice enough but the "N.G.C. first strikes" they advertised weren't anything special, not even close to top grade or even first strikes. The customers who buy their service get the nicer ones I'd imagine. Still a decent deal at five dollars each for shipping. I gave one of mine to my oldest for his thirteenth birthday last week and he was tickled.
