guy at work pulled out a $20 star note tonight, asking the age old question- what's it worth?

i went to http://mycurrencycollection.com/ref...s/lookup.php

and found this

Quote:
Denomination $20
Series 2004
Serial Number EL06046756*
Run 2
Run Size 3200000
Run Range 03200001 - 06400000
Total Printed 6400000
Gaps None
Month Printed MARCH 2005
Facility FW

i know nothing at all about value, but since it's near the end of the run, I wouldn't believe there's much of a premium-

any thoughts?

IMHO, if it's the first note he has found he should keep it it might get him started in collecting. Because of it's high print run and that it only starts with one zero I would spend it.

i told him just that tonight... if you don't have any, and can afford to put up 20 bucks, keep it - told him most collectors like to see more zeros in the beginning of the serial .. he just kinda shrugged and said OK

he does collect some coins, somehow him and his daughter keep getting LWCs back in change, he's shown me 5 or 6 in the past 2 weeks - and I can't even find them in bank rolls ( sigh )

maybe I can get him to visit the forum here and join soon
