I found someone who will sell me wheat's at $7.00 per pound he has a few 50# bank bags whats the going rate for them ?
Good deal or bad deal ?
Thanks,
Matt-
Oh and here is his ad for the wheat's

large canvas bags, about 5000 pennies, found a 1909 VDB in one bag, actually my son did 10 years ago, he had a ball. Have a few bags left that we never searched, or can sell you rolls of your favorite.

how about some OBW 1960 small date gem orig pennies..

Gutkowski,

That's between 145~150 cents or 3 rolls to the pound. Works out to $2.33/roll. Not an exhorbitant price.

P.S. - When it comes to ebay and coin offerings, the term "unsearched" actually means "I've been over these with a fine-toothed comb and pulled anything of value ... here's the rest".

Here's my thinking. If there are approx 143 coins/pound

That's a little less that five cents a coin
If all the cents were AG/G 1959s, ugh
If this is on ebay, I wouldnt buy
If it's someone local, maybe I'd buy one bag out of curiosity.
50# bag; that's $350...and I think it's more like 7000 coins, the cost still five cents a coin.

So, I've thought all about this now. If it was in my budget, I might buy a 50# bag...preferably 25#

The ad was on our local craigslist ,I think I will ask him for a handful of rolls seeing how a full 50# is not in my budget lol

1959 is not a Wheat cent. If there were 150 in there that were 1959 with a wheat back reverse, I think I'd be paying a "pretty penny" to get my hands on that bag!

I buy at 3 cents a coin search through them, give them to my brother who ebay's at 6 cents each "unsearched". If your buying in bulk expect to get what you pay for.
