Ah, you asked for it LOL. [:p]

Perhaps you can answer my question in another topic about the 1992 $15 and $175 Centenary of the Olympic Spirit coins. They are not listed in Charlton's Catalogue as minted by the Royal Australian Mint.

I dont know the answer off hand but I will do some research on it. Serves me right. I thought I knew ALMOST everything there was to know about Canadian coins[:p] This proved me wrong[:0], but will definitely add to my knowledge wow I like these smiley things

To celebrate the centennial of the modern olympics, the IOC comissioned 5 national mints to produce a 15 peice set of gold and silver commemorative coins from 1992 to 1996, the centennial year.
The Royal Canadian Mint issued the first series THE OLYMPIC VISION in 1992 consisting of one gold $175 coin and two silver $15 coins.

Thanks, I have copies of the RAM Annual Reports for the period 1987-88 through to 2004-05. According to reports RAM minted and packaged Canada's 1992 silver (two) and gold (one) proofs along with Australia's 1993 contribution to the 5 nation commemorative series. The mintage totals for the two $15 silver proof coins is about the same as is listed in the catalogue and the $175 gold is a little higher.

Apart for the coins minted in 1991-92 period which are just listed as Canada $15 silver proof and $175 gold proof, all other years have them clearly described and in what packaging they went into.

Surely the Certificate should have on that the coins were minted at the RAM and issued by the RCM.

Hey Pattywhack! Some of us will be wanting the new uncirculated twoonies ($2 Polar Bears) when they are released in August! Hope we can find a Canadian or two to send some our way?
