I don't think I would enjoy only having one coin. I can't think of any one coin that I would enjoy as much as I like having a mix. Mike

I agree with Mike. There are a lot of single coins that are costly, elusive and beautiful but, sell my entire collection for just one? I would miss lugging them all around and pulling out a different variety, denomination and/or Country to enjoy and study. Good question though sn31!

SuperDave what is the chance there will be two of them with the same Cud on it? isn't the chance of that like none because the Cud already fell onto that one coin, how can it fall onto another one, or am I just completely misunderstanding how the Cud thing works?
The Cud is caused by metal which is no longer present on the die, having broken off. Therefore no metal on the planchet is displaced, or, actually, it flows into the hollow on the die formed by the broken-off piece. A break this large is usually caught very quickly at the mint, and almost all of the coins struck with it are found and recycled. We know at least two of these got through. I'm gambling that there's at least one more. :)

Jeff Oxman has the one. According to Rob Joyce's Registry, Tim Page has an EDS version. I've never seen that one pictured, so I don't know how "early" it is.

No single coin but I am VERY seriously thinking of selling my collection to help pay for the body work on my 66 Lemans. I can always get more coins.......If anyone is interested in a decent collection, let me know.....I figure it is worth about $1000 - $1200

Too many truely great coins.
I could never settle on just one. I'd be like a kid in a candy store.

I would have to agree with ya Mike. There are a few coins I would love to have, but I don't believe it's worth giving up all my little treasures for.I inherited half of mine, and those are way to sentimental. It's hard to believe that I started with mainly just these, and now I look at all I've collected since,is really amazing. And a bit overwhelming too, sometimes.I'm running outta places to store them. That's okay, the more the merrier.I've also really enjoyed getting to do some trading,I've ended up with alot of neat coins, and made a couple of friends along the way.All worth it.sn31.

From an aussie view, I think a Unc to Gem 1932 Florin, a 1923 1/2penny in a/unc or a 1931 dropped 1 Indian Obverse penny in EF or better. Not that my collection would trade for anywhere near the value of these. Can but dream.
