Hello,
I just received this today, what do you think. In addition to my pictures I'm including the link to the finished auction which has more detailed pictures. What does the grey sheet say about it? Do you think I got a fair deal? Do you think this has a chance at being a full head? Thnkks for your input!

Here's the link to the auction.

hmmm....part of me wants to say that it has UNC details, but then there appears to be unusual friction lines on her upper torso in the second auction picture. Does it look that way in hand?

Oh, I do believe that is a "full head" coin.

The high points looks the slightest bit "dull", so I will guess AU-58 FH. Looks problem free to me with nice luster, awesome coin!

I actually don't see that scratch on the torso through my loop, but I'll have to look closer with daylight tomorrow.

Is it worth it to get something like this graded?

From the pics, it looks dipped or messed with to me. Depends on whether it is. If it is problem free, you got a good deal I think.

I'd say AU-58 FH, a good chance it was dipped or messed with as Brian mentioned.

Not worth getting graded but still a nice coin.

Edit: I change my mind on the fact that it's been dipped as I just saw the auction photos. You got it at around Greysheet AU Ask. Not a bad deal in my opinion.

I'm not talking about just one scratch...there appears to be other signs of friction around it, some of it running in the same direction. Regardless, it is a nice coin...AU58 or MS64-5.

Here are some more pics of the chest area. Based on the responses it sounds like this coin could go AU or MS with possible marks on the chest being key. I took these pics in different lighing using different angles and methods. What do you think?

Nice. I still say it is AU. Given the fact that there are more AU and MS SLQ's with full heads and shields than there are those that don't have a FH and full shields, so it doesn't really add a premium, but it definitely adds eye appeal.
Rest in Peace

w/ everything wheatguy said. The slight change in color on the highest point of liberty's hair indicates light rub imo. It's definitely close to MS, so I'm still in the AU-58 camp.

I can see why people grade this is AU, but I think it could go at least MS563. Especially for as scarce date such as this. Beautiful coin!

Either, I think it was a great price. You did well. regardless of the grade it sounds like you are happy with it, and in the end.. thats all that matters.
