Well just made my 1st trade of the Hot Springs quarter rolls I got at the opening ceremony and had hand canceled.

Traded two of my Hot Springs for two hand canceled Yellowstone rolls YES hope this keeps working as I have 25 more rolls of the Hot Springs to trade I got there.

Excellent plan!

Are you planning to visit any of the other ceremonies?

I have to wait until the 11th year of the program for "my" state's ceremony ! ....

And I completed my first trade the other day too, for a couple single P's for D's of the "Hot Springs" Qtr. ! ....
And, although much different than "your" trading.....I also hope to continue this "swap" for the entire run of the Parks series !
I don't know if there will be some "Quarters to have" with low mintages or whatever throughout this run, but this will be the cheapest way for me to build my Sets, and "coin tube" all the extra's I can get in BU.

I have found, while searching a Fed. Box, almost a full roll of these Hot Springs Qtr. D mints ! And they're in near BU condition.
I wasn't really expecting to find many "from circulation".....so I'm kind of surprised to come accross them. The P's, though, for me will be nonexistent sadly.... (esp. in BU)
I am very curious to see which Qtrs. end up being the lowest mintage ones.... (and just how low that number actually ends up being)
I hope I'm lucky enough to secure a nice batch of them !

I think I might go to the Ohio ceremony in 2013. I live in Michigan, but this ceremony will be much closer and much sooner. I hadn't thought about getting coins there to trade (a roll or two would do it for my son and me). Thanks for the idea!

Well if anyone goes to any ceremonies I will trade you a hand canceled Hot Springs roll for one of yours.

As for more ceremonies I hope to next year Gettysburg comes out I hope I am in the area then as I live 30 minutes from there. Also will be close to quite a few more if I am in the area and moving never know when I will have problems right now I am lay ed up my back is out had two operations and three disc's removed with major nerve damage funny one minute you are fine the next lay ed up for a week or two also have more problems but life is to short to lay around I enjoy life as much as possible on the good days and do not worry about the bad days and deal with them when they come.

I looked at the mints map and see several near my house in PA.
