Man, that's one sweet 24-D! It's hard to tell from those images, but it looks like a high end AU at the very least. I'm not sure, but it looks like there may be just a bit of flatness on the beard. I just can't tell for sure. If so I would say AU58.

If that is not wear, I would go with MS63BN. I think this would be one to have certified. These get pricey even at the AU level!

I think I'm glad those aren't your images.

But seriously, it looks like a very nice coin. With what there is to see, I would not be able to grade it higher than AU55 but the coin is likely better than that.

If I were to bid on that coin from those images, then $150 would be my limit and that might be a steal.

I'll post real pics when I get it. I've been looking for a well-stuck, MS 24-D for a couple years now. Most have a lot of strike issues, especially the O in ONE and the wheats. Even though the "scans" suck, I think I could tell enough of what I wanted to see to buy this. It's definately rolling the dice but I only paid MS-60 RD CDN pricing. If it turns out to be a 64-65 BN coin, I'll be jumping for joy!

Wow! Looks to be at the very least 63RB IMO. Even looks to be some wood graining on the obverse. Man Thad, that's nice.

Cool, thanks Dave.

I think this coin is much more brown. Scanners seem to penetrate the patina pretty hard. I sure hope it's RB because that's what I really wanted.... along with a killer strike.
