NICE FIND! WOOOOHOOOO!

Looks to be around MS-62/63 but how bad are those reverse scratches? Sometimes a picture can make them look worse than they actually are. I sold me NGC MS-65 for $550 a couple of weeks ago. I would imagine a graded 63 would be worth about half that or so.

I'd put it at an average MS63. Very nice; particularly as you found it roll searching.

congratulations.

Scratches would prevent it from grading. You should get it slabbed to lock in the value if you plan on selling it.

just spoke with my coin dealer and said he can send my coin in to PCGS for $25... not bad considering if it comes back MS-63

would anyone know if a coin like this would appreciate in value over time like other rare key date coins?

Same as my dealer charges. Absolutely your best and least expensive route.

This coin is high-end AU. AU58.

As for value - no clue.

Chuck...I agree! However, the TPG's routinely grade AU Memorial cents as MS.

sd, I dont know if it'll appreciate. I would think the more found, the less valuable.

I dont know if anyone knows how many were minted. If no one knows, then reaching critical mass of appreciation:depreciation is anyone's guess.

Makes me wonder (and ask) if all the 1955 DDs have been found.
