I went for another ebay slq lot of 40 and had decent results for just a trickle over melt($143.40). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MEWNX:IT

The best one being a 1924-d. This coin has terrific detail with a bit of luster, but the date is very weak.

Then two more mid/high grade 1924 philly mints.

And the third one is the one that is already in my set. I'm debating as to which one to keep, since they all have their pro's and con's. Which of these 3 1924 philly mints would you keep?

VF-35 on all, although I'm grading the obverse only for the bottom two 24's.

Great finds as usual! 24-D's seem to not want to be in my collection, I'm having a difficult time finding a decent one at a fair price.
Rest in Peace

My vote is to keep the one already in your set.

Thanks wheatguy. It was a tough call between that one and the second one, but I went with the second one due to the strong liberty and shield details.

The 24-d is an interesting case, even though it has strong VF details, the date is reduced to pretty much a blob. It's weaker than the lower grade 24-d that I just sold. I really don't have the slightest idea what a TPG will give it. I sure would like a VF-35, but I've seen TPGs go as low as AG-3 or G-4 based on a date like that.
