Personnaly I wouldnt touch something like this, it is almost as bad as artificial flavours and colorants. No, the real thing for me or not at all.
Very nice coin though.

Well, this thing gnaws at me the wrong way...
Sorry, its not a coin...its a piece of ..well you know the rest.
I hate the way they market this crap....reminds me of the 9-11 'coin' made from recovered gold and silver from ground zero..in which you can flip up the twin towers on the thing.
GAG ME WITH A SPOON!!

Wow. So rare that only 2 were struck. "5 COIN LIMIT"!

In-bleeping-credible. "Emperor"?

Agreed, those 9-11 coins were a gimmick to sell anything they could, no offense to the people who bought it.

clad with 71 mg of pure silver!

This is horrible. It's the type of thing that winds up turning off potential hobbiests when they find out they've been had.

WHAT if anything can WE do?
if it is legal, probably nothing. Except maybe get CNA and the BBB involved?
BBB ? why: because of perhaps FALSE advertising, misleading advertising, or, perhaps outright lying in the advertising!

""How money-hungry and greedy can someone get?"" .... here's our answer folks... If only these greedy bloodsuckers could lose their jobs in this recession instead of the hard-working blue collar workers in this world... AAAAAAAhhhhh!!

Reminds me off when these were marketed. That's all I have to say about it. I'll have it till I die, X-mas gift from g-daughter a few years back. Gotta love those Somali's (Somalians?)

What would make this story really sad would be in ninety years these "Emperor dollars" sold for a million at auction.

* of course, with inflation, in ninety years a million might buy a package of Smarties.

Once again Caveat Emptor. You guys should watch the HSN some times. Being a bit "Chappy" as one member put it (and I love it because his profile age says 12... just young at heart) I wake early in the morning ans use it to return to never, never land. The HSN offerings are sometimes just as absurd.

It is a shame that some people will be taken in expecting that they are buying an investment piece....once again knowledge is power and in the futur when someone shows you one of these coins don't laugh out loud and let them down gently :)

Only two of it's kind?

Maybe I'm just too much of a grammar geek for my own good, but when I see typos in an ad it's enough to make me not buy.

(Though I do have to admit I've got a near-complete set of Liberian $5 coins somewhere, so I guess I can't say much...but in my defense I believe the ads were grammatically correct)

I actually bought my son a whole set of those coins you are showing with the guitar shapes. He loves them but he does play guitar and was very interested in all types of guitars when I bought them for him. I made a picture frame for them and cut out the back so the coins in world slabs would fit in there and it actually looks pretty nice

My wife wanted me to buy them, I should $60.00 for a set of 4.Then when she sees me buy a nickle for $100.00 it will make some sort of sense.
