I notice on the reverse of this coin that there are a lot of marks under and around the buffalo. Are all those marks from this coin being cleaned, or is that considered to just be a good, solid strike? I'm not sure how to decipher all those markings. Thanks for the help all!!

Looks to be a good solid coin to me, but I would wait on the experts...

The textured fields of the Type 1 Buffalo were not designed to be flat like most other coins, you can especially notice it on the $50 Gold Buffalo bullion coin which uses the same design. The fields on the Type 2 were smoothed out a bit but still appear rougher than most other coins.
