Is the A pointing towards a bead or between beads. I can't tell. Thanks in advance.

The advantage when using "Regina" as the PUP, you will find that if the "A" points between the beads, the "I" will always be pointed "AT". Just in case there has been a hit, or some other reason for not being able to tell.
Check it out, works for me.

On the 1965 cents, the A always looks to me like it's pointing slightly left or right of the bead. Left is the small beads variety, right is the large beads.

A lot of it is the orientation of how you look at it, and I'd assume that's
why D spun the picture around. When I use the loupe, the first thing I do is
point the "A" straight up and then look where it points. I know that for the
1965 cents there is a large beads and a small beads, but I am beginning to
consider the possibility that there is a medium beads obverse as well, in which
the "A" still points between, but the beads are larger than a typical SB.

What is the coin in the original picture? Something tells me it's not a 1965 cent.

Thanks everyone for your help. I believe my 1965 Canadian nickel may be small beads as it looks like the "A" is pointing to the left.
