Quote:As far as
ebay goes, I'm a buy high, sell low kind of guy. I have tried a few currency auctions where I didn't put a minimum bid on the money just to see how it went. So far I'm about 50-50 as to whether I make a profit. But then I have never really tried to sell anything significant, just odd & end bills.
Coin dealers/pawn shops want to make a profit so they wont give you what an item is even close to being "worth". While on
ebay sometimes you get lucky and some idiot like me starts bidding on the item. If I really want it I will spend too much for it. There are (God help them) other people like me on planet. It just depends if we are in the market when you put your bills up for sale.
* Edit: Oh and btw luckyrollers you are lucky indeed. My girlfriend works at a bank and wouldn't save me a bill or coin if my life depended on it
I guess its all about the demand. That's why I think if I do sell on
, I would have to sell it as a buy it now and best offer to get the price on what I'm looking for. I hate it when an item sells for low when its really worth 5x the price.
and about your gf not finding bills or coins. Just teach her. Show her what notes/coins your looking for and she will slowly get to know and understand it. Good luck buddy!
