I recently acquired this coin and wanted to know more about it. Paid $15
Love the fact that it is old and early canadian circulating coinage.
Mine has planchet flaw across the face...dark brown toned coin has a vein of raw copper running thru it. Iheard that counterfeits were worth
mote than the minted ones
Do not have pics right now but will be getting a new camera soon.
There is a right facing profile of George III w/ Half penny token
and the date 1815 at the bottom
and the other side says genuine British copper w/ left facing seated
british shield woman holding olive branch
the coin is in VF+ condition
Thanks for your input!

There are 4 varieties of this token: Large Bust w/8 laurel leaves; Slender bust w/7 leaves; slender bust 6 laurel leaves; and small bust 7 laurel leaves. The last one (small bust) has the head well way from the lettering and much shorter. In the same order as above, prices in Fine condition: 15/14/20/50 dollars Canadian. In VF condition 35/30/40/125 dollars. These are full retail and out of Charlton 5th edition Canadian Tokens.
