I had the chance to examine this coin in person a few weeks ago, but didn't have the funds. Although, to my eye at least, it passed all the diagnostics that I know of, I am still somewhat uneasy buying this release un-graded. What do you guys think? I know the pictures aren't the best, but based on what you see, what is your opinion as to the authenticity? How about grade? What would you pay for it? The seller is willing to offer a 90 day no question money back guarantee to me. He said if it comes back from a TPG as non-genuine, he'd refund my money without question...thoughts? Thanks for your help / opinions!

Hard to tell without a closeup of the mintmark. Since he is confident it is genuine, and you are a bit uneasy purchasing raw; I think a better idea is to tell him to send it in for certification on your dollar and tell him that you will buy it if it comes back genuine. Problem solved.

That's a good thing. To me, the coin looks like the real deal. Send it to PCGS or NGC.
Greysheet ask in AU50 is $1375.
Looks to be in the 50/53 range.
Oh yeah, get in writing from him that he will purchase the coin back unconditionally if returned non-genuine.
