I don't see any silver there, and the commems (except for the LHC) are tokens. These look like what I buy by weight; you might have about $2.00 worth there, although the upside Philadelphia treasury token is interesting and could be worth a buck or so by itself.

The New Zealand shilling from the 1930s is silver (.500 fine) and I can't pic what the coin at the top of the top pic is.

The "gettone" is an Italian telephone token. The number "7511" is actually the month and year of issue: November 1975.

they would cost you 200 Lira and could be purchased at banks and most merchants. They could even be used as coinage if you were in a bind and that is all you had.

I love it when someone gives me a handful of coins. The other day a friend gave me a baggie full and it added 11 coins to my collection. None worth more than the 2x2 I put them in but I didn't have them before and now I do.. Loads of fun!

I like the phrase "none worth more than the 2X2". That is my collection in a nutshell. The mailman asked me the other day, what is in these boxes I keep delivering that are so heavy. I did NOT want to answer coins. That answer sets my house up with a giant robbery bullseye (I'm sure they vet the PO guys, right?). The coins I'm getting are cheap, not worth more than the 2 X 2. So when he asked, I said the boxes were full of rocks.

you are getting a lot more coins than I am if you are getting boxes full of them. LOL I get plenty of envelopes which I'm sure my mailman has already figured out. But he also knows us by name and we know him, I'm doubting he will be the leak...
