Another member who goes by "The_Duke" recently started a post called "Not sure I deserved a "Neutral". Well, I'm pretty sure I didn't deserve this positive! "Coin is junk, but I didnt read description fully, so my bad. Acid washed junk!!" http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...200485494465

Seems a bit strange. I am always looking for additions to my blocked bidders list though!

Maybe you should have done a better job describing it.

In case anybody missed my point...when he left his feedback for me he clicked "positive" but then he trashed me with his comments. I guess you'd have to call it "a back-handed positive". In addition to not reading my description, he must have also failed to read my return policy which states, "Full 7 day money back guarantee. No hassle and no questions asked." He and I have been sniping at each other in emails (I'll probably get suspended by ebay) but I still offered him a full refund and told him I'd let him KEEP THE COIN!

Although I'm not into restored coins, I found your listing quite informative and entertaining. I love the animation. Classy and informative. I don't think you left much to the imagination, but then again, I actually READ the listing. As I said in The_Duke's post, some people won't read the words, or they'll read them and they won't compute. However, I notice If I close one eye and hit myself in the head with a ball pein hammer it clearly states the coin is Brilliant Uncirculated. You might wanna work on that..... Steve

Every so often I come across the "Buyers from hell". They just want to be difficult. Even with an honest description, the willingness to take a loss once and a while these people turn up. A few years ago ebay changed the rules so these people have even more power. Yikes. About a year ago I had 22 tape recorders I used in a research project. I sold them all on ebay over a 8 month period. Same listing, same pictures, same shipping, same exact boxed Sony tape recorder with 4 hours of use. Most of the sales went smooth as butter, but then I had two nut cases. One guy exchanged 3 of these machines before he decided to get his money back. He told me they didn't work, I would get them back and they tested fine. After re-listing, others bought his rejects and were very happy. Go figure.

He seems to say bad on you for selling a piece of junk, and bad on him for failing to read your accurate description. He should've left no feedback, or returned the coin and then decide what to leave.

Weerdsteev, That's a lot of drama for $6. It's also known as to darn with faint praise.
Your buyer made an impulse buy, he's no sniper as the bidding times attest. Your listing probably came up 1st when he searched the listings by date & MM, and he bid on it 5 minutes before it ended, probably before the entire page loaded too, graphics and all, if he wasn't wifing e-Bay.
Still, your return policy is stated clearly in the item header, and some people just enjoy being difficult. Probably was neglected by his parents. LOL.
Good thread, and fab example of "buy in haste, repent in leisure." zb
