I'm not familiar with very early coins.. the picture Moe145 posted of the 1801- is that an error on the reverse? 1/000 shouldn't it be 1/100 ? the pic posted by johnny54321 of the Half Cent has 1/200

Quote: 1/000 shouldn't it be 1/100 ? Yes, it is one of the errors, and a great example! I've always liked that error, because mathmatically, 1/000 is an infinite amount of cents. You should be able to take that to a store and buy whatever you want to with it! If they tell you it's just a cent you can say "now way, this is more than a million bucks!"

I hope this isn't against forum rules. I have an 1828 lg cent, but I don't collect them. I don't have a camera, but am looking to purchase one. If anyone is interested PM me and we can make arrangements. The 1st 8 in the date is the high 8. I estimate it to be in G-VG condition. I have no experience in grading lg.cents. Thanks.

Razorear, you will probably get more interest if you posted this in the B/S/T forum.

OK, I was thinking about that, but I can't post it. I'll give it a try, thanks.

1814 S-295 ANACS MS60. I submitted this coin for crossover (in the holder) with MS60 specified as the minimum grade. PCGS declined to cross it with no comment. NGC also did not cross it, but at least they gave a reason: "too much wear". So, I guess it will stay in the ANACS slab.
