A co-worker of mine was walking home from work when he saw, laying on the sidewalk, a Morgan dollar! Now, I have found cents, nickels, and occasionally, quarters but a Morgan
Here is the cool part, he brought it to work for me to evaluate and to my amazement, it was an 1882-CC! Unfortunately, it had rim damage in 2 spots from hitting the sidewalk, but overall, a nice original VF20 coin. We were talking of the possible scenarios which led up to this coin laying on a public sidewalk. The only conclusion I have come up with is either being transported by someone, stolen, or a pocket piece. The last scenario is the least probable because of the original, VF20 surfaces. Anyway, thought I'd share that story

nice!

my friends dad found a Morgan on a street in NY (forgot which one it was).

it was encased in a metal and was most likely a broach.

to this day, my friend still has never removed the casing (although I begged him too)

I found a ten dollar bill last week when I went out to my mailbox but I've never found a collectible coin.

I "found" 4.50 in euro on the floor in an Irish Pub in Trier tonight.......tried to tell the person that dropped it, but they were drunk and beligerent. So - when he left, I picked it up, and gave it to the bartender.

Been a long time since I've had a memorable find other than some luck at coinstar.

Fatboy, the reject bin on the coinstar, like the change compartment on a drink or vending machine... thats where the "finds" are.. some people never check to see if anything was rejected

edited because my fingers were not looking where I was typo'ing

You should hand it over to the local museum.

Someone's loss is another person's gain nice Morgan!

Thunderstorms on one side of the earth means it's nice sunny weather on the other side

when eating tasty & nutritious fried Chicken, that chicken died for that

and it's always nice to be on the good end of the stick!
