Trying to figure out what he's up to. We've seen where a seller will have one item with a huge price (usually something better though!) to get you to look at their other auctions that are actually "for real". But in this case, it makes no sense! Or cents. Especially viewing the other items for, um, auction.
Unless it's just trolling for that one lone fish that will bite hard on that lure!

Maybe he wants to make the $19 when they return it. I hope I can resist hitting the Place Bid Now button.

How do you guys find this stuff? Once in a while I'll find something I think is outrageous but nothing like this. I can't believe someone would even put that on ebay. It also goes to show you that ebay really cares little of what is presented as long as they get their pound of flesh.

Quote: How do you guys find this stuff? I was looking at quarters and this popped up. Although I haven't touched my Washington album in a loooong time (stuck at CHBU down to '46 and various grades from AU to VG below that), I occasionally look at Quarters on ebay to see if there are any good pickups. I looked at it because it said SGS and MS70 and I expected to see a VG coin, but not a 10 large pricetag! Well, I see it is gone now. That didn't take long! Yeah, that one was illegal having SGS and MS70 in the title. I don't remember how the others were listed. But no great loss. Time marches on! Steve

I just looked at the link again and it has been removed. Obviously the $10,000 price tag was a little inflated. I would be a buyer at $9,000.00, but $10,000 is just too salty. :)

Yes twincam! I just saw that one myself a bit ago. I guess that means the slab is fake?

Wow! I thought there was something wrong with my noggin! The label says 1964 and my eyeballs see a 1974 in the slab!
The seller calls it a '64, and I thought maybe he's selling the error on the label, but no. Nothing in the texct about the small, uh, discrepancy. The price he's asking might be a righteous price for an error slab, but I don't know. I do know a '64 or '74 even in Deep Cameo ain't nowhere near that price!
I think I'll take what's in the box instead, Monty!

I emailed the guy on the 1964/1974 Quarter and he said it was a mistake and ended the listing.

Probably a wise decision on his part. But he's still got a '74 quarter in a slab that says '64 on it!
