Sold some junk silver on ebay recently, no limit to how stupid people can be....coins were CLEARLY pictured as worn. " These coins are garbage worn coin. I want to return them under your return policy. Please give me an address to return them to. Charlie - coinmasters" My response: Hello, I'm willing to offer a return if there is a serious problem as stated (such as not as described, wrong coins etc) , but did you read the auction? Garbage? This lot was being offered as JUNK SILVER, or bullion. I also put up a picture that showed the coins as worn. So why are you surprised that they are worn? Do you think its fair to do this to me and make me eat all the shipping + other fees? I'm just asking. I'm guessing though that you're not going to be reasonable based on your tone (I could be wrong), so go ahead and give me an undeserved negative, I barely sell on ebay on this account. Go ahead and file a paypal dispute, I have about 40 cents in my paypal account : ) I mean seriously, you like....demand feedback two hours after the auction is over, then not even a thank you and just ignore me? Or, you could be reasonable and see where I'm coming from! I don't put up with this, though. -Brian |

FYI I know telling the guy off is going to get me bad feedback, but I primarily use the account I'm using as a buying account, so I don't really care.

That sucks. I had a recent experience with a guy that bought an NGC certified piece from me, cracked it open sent to PCGS and was downgraded blaming me for it asking for refund.

I have felt like doing what you did a bunch of times. But, I didn't have a throw away account so I just complied. As long as you don't care about that account, why not leave him a positive (all you can do anyway) and tell everyone what a jerk he is.

Unfortunately I already left him normal feedback...I'll follow up though. Anyway I DO sell occasionally on this count, but not to a significant extent. If I ever sell significantly I'll use another account and be careful to be nice no matter what, even if they don't deserve it.

Shadow: Did he already neg you or are you just anticipating it? I went back through the posts and I don't see anywhere that you specifically said he negged you...? If he has, I'd fight it.

He already did. It was this morning I think. I called up ebay and they said it technically didn't violate the guidelines but they'd 'review' it. Sounds like it's not going anywhere. |
