papeldog Pillar of the Community Canada 1923 Posts	Posted 07/16/2010 5:16 pm There is a dot in the lower part of the second 8 in the new 2011 Charlton coin book on page 325 they mention that the engraver repaired the middle 8 of the date by repunching it with a bead punch. the repair left a portion of the bead visible within the lower loop of the middle 8.
