So I've been here a few years and I contribute quite a bit....I'd like to help out with moderation if possible as well, if its not possible thats fine though. I'm just asking if its possible to become one, and if so, how? Thanks.

FYI I did email one of the admins awhile ago about this but never got a response. I'm just making sure this doesn't come across as pushy in case I DID get a response but it didn't go through.

I believe I read that when they do need one, the all discuss possibilities, refer who they think would make a good one, then Bobby picks someone. I may be wrong though,

Why would you want to take on such a thankless job Shadow? The hours are long, and the pay is low. I would imagine it rather as being a 24/7 donor at a Red Cross blood mobile.

Good grief you guys, I was only joking.
I do imagine though that there is more than just honor involved. I suspect that there is a lot of teeth gritting, hair pulling, and feelings of obligation to do what is right despite inner feelings. No job or position is all roses and no thorns.

I can't imagine anyone wanting it..... Spam removal alone must be a nightmare.. Then there is the having to be good, fair, and unbiased all the time.... Yep its not the kind of job I would wish on anyone. and I admire the mods we have for accepting the positions..
