So I ordered a 2005 "hope" privy silver maple leaf dollar the other day and I suppose they made a hologram and regular version. I wanted the hologram version where there was only 19888 minted but I cant seem to find any info on the one that I got. I've looked through both Vol. 1 and 2 of the Charlton standard catalogs and can't find anything.

Any one have some useful info?

Thanks
Armin

If you have a Charlton Catalogue 63rd edition? You can find the info at page379.

I dont have the 63rd edition of Charlton. I started collecting only a couple months ago.

Yes Canadian coins, that is the coin I wanted but in Hologram version. The one I got isn't a hologram and 25000 where minted.

I've heard the R.C.M. is contemplating a 3-D coin. All the owner has to do is put on the 3-D glasses that accompany each collector coin and it will be like watching a movie! Not only will the images be holographic but can you imagine them in 3-D, WOWOEEEEEEEEEE! Just can't wait to get a whole series of 'em.

Hi Armin,

You have the correct coin. The RCM projected a mintage of 25,000 but only 19,888 were produced. This is a nice reverse proof coin, but as you noticed the hologram, well... isn't. The COA does not refer to being a hologram either.

The 2001 and 2003 did have holograms.

Thanks for clearing that up Canadian coins! Nice to know that I got the final coin in that set. It was the only one that was missing. Scanner doesn't do the coins justice though
