I just bought a non numismatic item from a ebay china based seller who I paid in Aussie dollars. He even offered free shipping. He accepted my low offer on a BIN. After all the bad China based storys I've heard, I figured my chances of getting it were 50-50. The ebay seller even said Chinese mail service was slow due to some international games to be played in China at the end of year (HUH?). Asked if I wanted to pay more for quicker shipping. I declined, the item arrived in 9 days.

that quarter doesn't even look close to being right. "Commemorative" Ill bet he means its commemorates the commemorative quarter.

I don't believe I have the expertise to report a suspected fraud, especially in forign or ancient coins. If the dealer is from China, and at the risk of appearing anti-asian, I don't even pusue the offering. The dealer goes on a list next to my computer and is immediatly ignored. Now that I know where to find the experise, "The CCF", I'll report it here and let the well informed make a decision.

I hope whoever bought it is aware that it is likely a fake.

The seller offers following: Return policy If your dissatisfied item. 15 days return privilege. 100% refund .buyer is responsible for return shipping fee. 100% refund: you only have to pay for shipping from and to China - Still the better choice to keeping the thing.

No way would I buy from a coin from a seller in China (and a seller with 0 feedback, to boot)...but besides that, what specifically about that coin says "fake"?
