I have just picked up two boxes of cents for searching and found some of the same type of rolls that I found in 2007. I still have two boxes of the 2007s setting in the cabinet.

Most of the rolls in the box are primarily 2010 shield cents. mixed in the roll are a few circulation LMC. The pics show:

The Shield cents are gem condition and uncirculated but the rolls are not pure. This roll has 12 circulation coins with them. Do I tear them open and keep the 2010, keep the rolls as is or something else.

Sorry about the quick pics but they show wht I mean.

Thx much,
Jim

I would ,If I wanted rolls of the 2010 cents open the rolls and sort the best of the best and store them ,return the rest after a quick look to check for oddities.

Open them, keep the best of the best in plastic tubes and dump the rest.

Or you could save them all for about 3,000 years for a profit of about 5%.

What state are your from. I live in Charlotte,North Carolina and we haven't seen any 2010 Shield Cent. I was able to get a box of Yellow Stone National Park Quarters ,2 week's ago. The teller said she had 5 Boxes that day.

Goldnugget,

If you would like a roll, I would be happy to send you one no charge. "Us" collectors have got to stick together. I am more than happy to share the luck.

Strange how the distribution works; I live in central KY and I have NEVER seen a quarter dated after 2008 in change (no territories or ATB Quarters). But, we are drowning in Shield Cents! If it were not for my local coin shop and the Internet I wouldn't even know what those quarters looked like.

That's too funny... I have picked up Shield cents in change on the east coast of Canada.

Must be tourists...
