Along with a lot of foreign coins and other junk coins
i have been noticing a lot of 1986 lincoln cents being rejected
by the counters. As a matter of fact anytime I find some in the tray
when I am in the bank 80% of the cents are 1986 most p's some d's.
Also a few 88's. Now these are all clean and non damaged coins also.
Wonder what is going on with that particular yr. as to have it rejected. Today I reached in and took out 21 cents. 3 older damaged
ones, 1 canadian, 2 88's and the rest all 86's. Same thing as over the past few months I noticed and remembered the 86's

That's strange, perhaps it's some sort of anomaly with that particular machine.

Thats because the NY METS won the World Series that year, and everybody hates on them even coin counting machines...

My favorite baseball team BTW.

Seriously, that IS pretty weird though! Have no clue why!

They are normal 86's as far as size/weight etc.
Found them in diff. locations (the credit union has 4 local branches)
Machines are all the same model/type. Strange part is like I mentioned, that they are not damaged or dirty etc. I think I will get the name next visit of the machines. Check out how they work etc. Yankee fans are not allowed in the bank
